Hello! Those of you that are new to this site a super big WELCOME! My name is Kris and I am a resume writer and ownet of Wiser Assets (formerly KPaust Resumes).
I have been writing resumes since early 2017. It started out as a small favor when a friend needed help with her resume. Then I thought, "Hey I can do this as a part-time gig!" I work as an Engineer during the day and I started wriing resumes at night or during my time off.
I initially advertised my services through Thumbtack. My first client that signed up for my services did not pay me but she left me a 5-star review. My second client, who happens to be a business owner himself, gave me some advice on how to ran a service based business. Since then, my business has grown and I have consistent clients. I became one of Thumbtack's "Top Pro" from 2017 to 2021. I have helped almost 100 resume clients during this time and counting! In 2022, I decided to leave the Thumbtack platform and continue to obtain current business through client referrals, word of mouth, and other sites like Facebook.
I am good at responding to my clients promptly and I made sure they had the best experience with my service. Some of them even ended up being great friends of mine. I love this business. I love seeing people get the job they wanted and showcase what they can bring to the table.
In addition to resume writing, I also help with preparing cover letters and help my clients find work through networking.
